Part of the law practice at The Beck Law Firm, LLC includes representing insurance agencies and agents in regulatory matters in Georgia, as well as provide legal advice and counsel relating to licensing and business requirements and operations in the state. Starting with this post, we're adding a blog category for posts relating to insurance agents/agencies issues, and in 2014, we'll work to address and discuss some legal and compliance concerns in this field beyond posts relating to broker-dealers and RIA firms and reps.
In 2013, we were pleased to be able to successfully represent clients with insurance regulatory matters. For example,in 2013 we:
* Successfully represented a non-resident insurance agency, obtaining a probationary license with conditions, following the issuance of a notice of license refusal by the state.
* Successfully represented an individual agent in responding to licensing requests relating to recent criminal disclosures. The state brought no action against the agent's license.
* Provided legal advice and counsel on insurance regulatory issues and state law relating to the insurance business in Georgia, including licensing requirements.
Check back from time to time, and look for future posts of interest to insurance agencies and agents in Georgia. If you have any particular issues that you might like to see discussed at bdlawblog.com, please let us know.
